A new student organization for those interested in Trust and Estate law and practice.

The WILLS FOR HEROES event will be held in Pennsauken Saturday, February 20th, 2010!

The Rutgers ETS Society is excited to partner with the Young Lawyers Division of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Wills For Heroes Foundation, and with the assistance of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP and members of the Camden County Bar Association to bring the Wills For Heroes project to Camden County. The project's goal is to provide complementary wills to the community's First Responers.

Updates from our Most Recent Meeting: Thursday, Feb 4th

We discussed the "Wills for Heroes" Project scheduled for Saturday, February 20th & Club members volunteered to work various positions.

We also discussed our next Dinner Series Speaker Event featuring Kathy Mandelbaum, Associate Professor of Law and the Director of the Graduate Tax Program at Temple University's Beasley School of Law. Professor Mandelbaum will be speaking on Friday, March 5th.

First Meeting: Officers Chosen and Events Planned for the Founding Year.

The ETS Society had its first formal meeting Thursday, October 8th. Among the items covered was the election of new offices and a discussion of the activities the group has planned for the upcoming year.

Meeting Highlights from Thursday, October 08

The first official organizational meeting for the Estates & Trusts society was held Thursday, 10/08/09. The meeting attendees chose the group's first slate of officers. Committees were formed to manage the principle activities planned for the upcoming year: The Speaker Seriers and a pro-bono project Wills for Heroes. Students were also elected to committees:
Events Committee: Melissa Hirsch (Chair), Linda Sembler, and Kati Galiszuski.
Project Wills for Heroes: Kathleen Kirvan (Chair), Wali Rushdan, and R.E. Roberts, Umair Hussain and George Papanier.
