Careers in Health Law Panel

The Health Law Society at Rutgers-Camden will host "Careers in Health Law," a speaker panel co-sponsored by the Career Planning Office, on Monday, November 8 at 12:30. Rutgers Alumna Esther Berezofsky, a successful class action attorney, will be speaking on both professional and personal aspects of her career. Her focus will include how to break into class action, mass torts or other traditionally male dominated areas of practice, as well as on the personal aspects of being a female litigator in a national practice, while balancing competing personal and professional interests.

The HLS will be hosting this event, in conjunction with the Women's Law Caucus and the Environmental Law Society, on Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 at 12:30 in Room E108. Local practitioners will discuss their paths to successful careers in Health Law and offer advice and information to those who seek to follow in their footsteps. This is a great opportunity to learn more about health law career options. The field is a lot broader than you may think! Lunch will be served. .   
Last year's event included panelists Sharon Dostman, Esq. (Office of General Counsel, Cooper Health System), Alice Schwartz, Esq. (Office of General Counsel, Independence Blue Cross), Stanley Stahl, Esq. (Stahl & DeLaurentis), Martha Swartz, Esq. (Law Office of Martha Swartz), and Cynthia White, Esq. (Office of General Counsel, GlaxoSmithKline).

Health Law Pub Night on Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Please join us at the Victor Pub from 9-11pm on Thursday, Oct. 14. This is a great opportunity to take a break from your studies and to have a little fun. The drink specials will be domestic drafts for $1 and $2 for well drinks. Appetizers will also be half off. All proceeds will go towards the HLS's upcoming events for the year.
